Success Story: Transport of Brewery Tanks

To expand the Serbian location of an international brewery, the Bolk Transport Gmbh had to transport brewery tanks from Drachten (NL) to Zajecar (SRB).

With 7 m diameter, 20 m length and a weight of 25 tones per peace, a special transport per truck for wider distances was inappropriate (due to necessary road closures, permissions, high costs…).
Since the points of departure and arrival were located close to the Danube waterway, combined transport via LKW and inland vessel was the best option.

Advantage: Short pre- and end-haulage per truck save time and money; all tanks fit on one inland vessel, easy handling and high safety standards.
